Finish
FINISH SELECTION builds the output. W (or the FINISH SELECTION button) opens the
modal where you arrange and configure; W inside the modal writes the set out.
The modal lets you:
- Order the set. AUTO fits the tracks to a mood curve you shape with a
draggable fader EQ (presets RISE / BELL / WARM-UP / PEAK / COOL, then drag
individual bands) using harmony, tempo and energy. MANUAL lets you move rows
by hand with
Shift+J/Shift+K. PressingShift+J/Shift+Kon a row switches to MANUAL automatically. - Extend the set.
EXTEND +Nrecruits N more best-fitting tracks from the visible (filtered) list and folds them into this set only. Your hand-picked selection is left untouched. - Name the output folder. The default is
selekted, created next to the open folder. - Number files (on by default). Copies are prefixed
01 - …,02 - …so the set stays in order on name-sorted media; the playlist is numbered too. Copies only: originals are never touched. - Pick formats (checkboxes): M3U8 playlist, Rekordbox XML, Serato markers.
- REKORDBOX XML: a collection plus a
SELEKTEDplaylist with cue points. Hot cues A to H for the first 8 boundaries, the rest as memory cues. - SERATO (EXP): experimental.
Serato Markers2ID3 (GEOB) markers in MP3 and AIFF.
- REKORDBOX XML: a collection plus a
CREATE writes everything.
Importing into Rekordbox
- Preferences → View → enable
rekordbox xml. - Advanced → point it at
SELEKTED/rekordbox.xml. - In the left tree under
rekordbox xml→ reload → import theSELEKTEDplaylist into the collection.
Importing into Denon Engine DJ
Engine DJ imports the same rekordbox.xml.
A note on WAV
Rekordbox and Engine DJ do not import cue or key data from WAV. Use AIFF, 320 MP3 or FLAC instead. The export warns if the selection contains WAV files.
